Yoga and Pilates are proven forms of therapeutic exercise which can help to stretch, tone and increase flexibility in your body. Yoga and Pilates have also been known to help lower stress levels and give your mind a greater sense of ease and clarity as a result of the breathing techniques practiced during the poses/exercises.

Classes are suitable for all levels (beginner to intermediate). There are various styles of Yoga and the teacher will tailor the class to your preference. Some examples of different styles include:

Gong Bath & Sound Therapy

Gong Bath & Sound Therapy_edited.jpg
GONG BATH & SOUND THERAPY

There is no organ system in the body that is not affected by sound, music and vibration.

MITCHELL GAYNOR

Gong Bath/Sound Journey is a powerful therapy which uses instruments to promote deep relaxation and healing in the Mind, Body & Soul. This type of sounds stimulates the alpha and theta brain wave frequencies associated with meditative, clear and peaceful states of mind. The vibrations and sounds can help to alleviate symptoms in anxiety, stress, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and improving sleep quality and overall well being. It can support many aspects of our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, leaving us feeling balanced and refreshed.

A typical session would be held in a room where people are able to lie down (e.g. on a yoga mat, cushion or similar), and it is best practised in rooms with little glass and mirrors as this may affect the sound of the Gong (although many studios practise in mirrored rooms so not a deal breaker). We would start with some breathwork, meditation, yoga and finish with the Sound Journey using the healing vibration of a 28 inch Gong, Tuning Forks, Tibetan Bowls, Tibetan Meditation Bells & Windchimes.

Please note: It is always best to check with your healthcare provider if you are unsure on your suitability for this therapy. People who are pregnant, experience epilepsy or seizures, or have a diagnosed mental health condition must check with their primary care provider before taking part in this workshop
